NATIONAL SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT AT JARABACOA
The National School of Environment and Natural Resources, is a center of excellence for the development of human resources with a strong background in science and technology for environmental management. It has the support of several national and foreign universities that offer their experiences in academic offerings.
The academic program lasts two and a half years, during which students will be internally at the National School of Environment and Natural Resources, located in Piedra Blanca, Jarabacoa, where they acquire multidisciplinary academic training in Environmental Management, Soil and Water, Protected Areas and Forest Resources.
With this initiative, the Ministry of Environment seeks to promote youth leadership in education programs in order to achieve sustainable development consistent with the capabilities and potential of the country, participants will experience practical field experiences, such as plant production in controlled environments gardening, composting, soil conservation, trail construction and environmental interpretation; basic mastery of technological tools; geographic information system; environmental measurements and the ability to speak English as a second language.
